June 2025

On May 26th, the New Moon occurred in Gemini, prompting a new beginning. This lunation brought a fresh start to our lives, especially with communications and mental well being. We carry this energy into the month of June. By tuning in to positive Gemini energy, we can learn through others just by being curious and we can improve our social and communication skills at the same time. We open ourselves up to more information and we learn to truly enjoy the variety of different personalities around us.

On June 9th, Jupiter entered Cancer influencing us to place more value on our home, family, heritage, and traditions. We want to lay down roots, listen to our gut instincts, and feel secure in our surroundings. We see opportunities to grow and succeed through our emotions, expanding our foundations, and building our families. Emotional intelligence is the major keys to solving problems and intimate connections are valued.

On June 11th, the Full Moon occurred in Sagittarius and brought sudden awareness to areas of our lives that require more balance. This lunation encourages us to reach out beyond our routines, thought patterns, and neighborhoods. The Full Moon in Sagittarius is a time of expansion, and we can be aware of what we’d like more of in our lives and put aside things that don’t serve us well.

On, June 15th, Jupiter formed a square with Saturn, and we may have an opportunity for personal or professional growth, however, the rewards may be delayed. We need to restructure our lives or plans in accordance with rules, laws, limits, and the demands of reality. This process can lead to a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves or our projects. This can be a time of temporarily fluctuating finances, increased personal commitments, sudden obstacles to our goals, dips in energy, or ups and downs with our faith or outlook on life. We might be asking ourselves, what’s the point? There can be a sense that we’re not in the right place at the right time during right now.

This transit also occurred in August and December 2024. The themes during that time may be playing out now. During this period, it is important to breathe new life into old plans rather than create a new plan altogether. We may need to make sacrifices in one area of our lives to grow in another. It’s important not to overextend ourselves now and avoid easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations is part of the process. We can navigate obstacles and challenges with patience and perseverance.

On June 18th, Jupiter forms a square with Neptune, and we can be feeling disillusioned with our dreams and ideals as they are put to the test. This can lead to a lack of follow-through and avoidance of responsibilities. This crisis can lead to a realignment of goals and spiritual ideals as we assess what is truly important to us. Finances may seem to block our plans or we could face a sudden lack of inspiration. We may be forced to face issues we’ve been avoiding or deal with addictions, money drains, and other behaviors that have been dragging us down. Sacrifices may be necessary for our material or spiritual well being. It’s important to simplify, detoxify, and reach out to others for support and guidance. With this outer-planet transit with a longer-term influence, it will be important to take a hard look at addictions, fears, and attitudes that have us chained to situations and keep us from growing.

On June 25th, the New Moon occurs in Cancer, signifying a new beginning, particularly with our personal lives, home, and family. This is a time for feeding our foundation and all that we call home, including the foundation we’ve built inside ourselves. It’s also a time to recognize the importance of our family and circle of friends and security, sense of belonging, and safety they give us.

The New Moon aligns with Jupiter and harmonizes with Mars, creating positive and confident energy. However, it also forms a quincunx to Pluto and a square to an upcoming Saturn-Neptune alignment, complicating things. There can be obstacles primarily related to our independence and personal plans, as well as nagging concerns and fears in our social lives to manage.

The Summer Solstice

Summer begins with the solstice today, Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:42 P.M. EDT, marking the astronomical first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Today is also known as Litha or Midsummer.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the summer solstice occurs when the Sun travels along its northernmost path in the sky. This marks the astronomical start of summer in the northern half of the globe. In the Southern Hemisphere, it's the opposite: the June solstice marks the astronomical start of winter when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky.

Celebrating the Solstice

Honor the summer solstice by watching the sunrise or sunset. Find a scenic spot—like a hilltop, beach, or open field—to soak in the sun’s energy. You can use this time for reflection, setting intentions, or simply appreciating nature.

Fire represents the sun’s energy and power. Create a fire ceremony by lighting a bonfire, candle, or even a small fire in the hearth. Use the flame to symbolically release what no longer serves you and welcome growth and light. This can be done alone or with friends and family, with music, dancing, or storytelling.

Connect with nature by taking a walk, planting something, harvesting herbs, or swimming in natural waters. Bring offerings like flowers, fruit, or crystals to a sacred outdoor space in gratitude. Journaling or meditating outside under the sun strengthens your connection to the Earth and the season.

Happy Solstice ✨
