The Full Moon in Gemini on the 4th allows for clarity. Mental blocks dissolve on this lunation, paving the way for a new outlook. It’s an ideal day to declutter and finish school projects. If you need to resolve a challenging conversation, do it today.
On December 6, a major Scorpio stellium featuring the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars creates deep emotional & psychological intensity, testing our mental health. This is especially true for Gemini, Leo, Aquarius, Cancer, Scorpio.
Our ability to dream and create returns when Neptune stations direct in Pisces on the 10th. Over the past few months, we have gotten some reality checks. Unpleasant truths may have emerged, which might have felt depleting. We are now able to understand what needs to be done to move forward. Neptune direct also activates intuition enabling us to connect with our inner wisdom easily, guiding us to make mindful decisions.
On December 11th is a Mercury-Uranus opposition, bringing surprising breakthroughs or plot twists. We can feel anxious and scattered, tend to speak quickly, and our patience is thin. We could feel like we are expending lots of energy, but have a difficult time completing tasks.
Travel is back when Mercury moves into Sagittarius on the 11th, just in time for the holidays. Go home for the holidays or take a winter vacation in a warm climate. There should be no major obstacles. This transit is idealistic and sparks feelings of hope. If your year has been rough, you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Discipline and strategy equal success when Mars enters Capricorn on the 15th. Mars is exalted in Capricorn, which means it operates best in that sign. Use this transit to pursue goals, channel your most ambitious self, complete home renovation projects, and plan for 2026. Lay the groundwork now, and the next year could be your best.
The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 19th is great for travel. If you want to book a trip, this might be the best day to hit the road or the skies. This lunation is also the best for an honest conversation. Don’t leave words unsaid. Clear the air, and your holiday will be more chill.
Capricorn season arrives on the 21st and it’s time to focus on traditions. Practice those holiday customs you enjoy or bring back old practices from days gone by and add more meaning to your celebrations. This is also the time to organize your home, bank account, and office. Tidy up as the year comes to a close so you can start 2026 with a sense of control.
Venus enters Capricorn on the 24th, bringing stability to relationships and finances. During this transit, we can secure resources and partnerships. It’s also a good time to invest in quality items: good furniture, well-tailored clothing, or antiques. Don’t feel like splurging? Put it away for a rainy day. This transit of Venus can go either way.
Mercury squares Saturn on December 30th, bringing final tests or reality checks and creating a tense, challenging period for communication, thinking, and learning. It's a time for responsibility, structure, and confronting limitations in how we express ourselves or process information, demanding precision, patience, and confronting negative thought patterns.
Meteor Showers
The Ursid meteor shower occurs annually front about December 17-26, peak ing a round December 22. It is associated with Comet 8P/Tuttle. It's a minor shower, typically producing 5–10 meteors per hour, but can have outbursts, and is best viewed in the early morning hours from dark locations, with 2025 offering excellent conditions due to a new moon. The meteors appear to radiate from the constellation Ursa Minor (the Little Dipper).
The Quadrantids meteor shower is also set to begin on Sunday, Dec. 28, but won't peak until Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026.
